Tom Mealey, Executive Vice President, Virtual Industries, Inc.

In retrospect, 2011 was a year of moderate growth for the Electronics Manufacturing Industry fueled by increased demands from the automotive, consumer electronics and healthcare market sectors. Looking forward we remain cautiously optimistic that the Electronics Inspection Industry will continue to experience slow and steady growth throughout 2012.

In these challenging economic times, manufacturers are forced to maximize their production efficiency by implementing lean manufacturing initiatives. With this in mind, an increasing number of EMS companies are investing in AOI Equipment to streamline the manufacturing process, increase production yields and reduce costly rework.

Our immediate goals for 2012 include the continued expansion of our sales and service network to support the inland provinces of China and the rapidly growing markets of East Asia and Eastern Europe.

MIRTEC has earned a solid reputation as one of the most progressive and dynamic manufacturers of Automated Inspection Equipment. In 2011, we implemented our new 10M and 15M pixel camera technology across our entire line of inspections systems. We also launched our proprietary LED and BLU inspection systems and our revolutionary 2D/3D Inspection Technology. In the upcoming year, we will continue to focus upon refining our core inspection products. We are confident that this new technology will drive the future growth of our organization in 2012 and beyond.
