Here we go again on this roller coaster ride of the economy and our business. Since mid-2011, it has been a very bumpy ride that does not look to improve in 2012. Clients continue to wait to see where this economy is going. Even the top economists do not seem to know what will happen. I believe we will have more of the same in the first half of the year and I hope that I can begin to see some light as we get into the second half.
Keep in mind that we have many elections next year that will have an effect. Not only do we have the U.S. elections for President, but we also have a new President in China and France also will hold elections. China will remain stable as they do in these hard times, however, for the U.S., a lot depends on who is elected.
If Obama returns, I do not foresee much improvement in the economy, however, if a new Republican President is elected, then whomever takes the post will do all he can to stimulate the economy quickly and I expect a sharp upturn in 2013. I wish I had a crystal ball but that is the best that I can say.
