Has the China tariff dispute affected your business?

The tariffs with China have affected everyone in some way or another. For CalcuQuote and our customers, one of the largest areas impacted was the confusion that it created. Companies were not prepared with the proper purchasing and accounting processes to account for the cost of tariffs which meant there was lots of manual work and rework that needed to be done.

Even today, we see that some component distributors are handling the tariff charges differently than others by either absorbing costs, amortizing them into the price of the product or billing them as a separate invoice. This makes it difficult for a buyer to effectively judge which supplier represents the optimal decision.

CalcuQuote has built its industry leadership on providing a process oriented system for quoting that is a significant improvement on the "old fashion" way of quoting. We continue to invest in increasing the speed, accuracy and efficiency of the RFQ process.
