Mr. Karel Tavernier, Managing Director, Ucamco
As we wrap up a very challenging 2021, I for one am glad that 2022 is on the horizon. Just turning the page on the calendar is not going to make everything better, but I do think that it will help with peoples outlook. While many of the challenges with supply chain, labor, cost increases, availability of materials, etc. in the electronic industry are still going to be prevalent, I feel that there is optimism seeing that more of us business leaders have solidified our processes, supply chain shortfalls, and learned how to thrive in this crazy environment and that brings me hope for 2022. Overall, in 2022, Sunstone is moving away from surviving these troubling times mentality and transitioning back to innovation and moving forward. We are working on a number of exciting and important projects that should bring great benefits to our customer base as well as our employees. Shifting the mindset in such a way is a key step to our mental recovery and wellbeing and thus getting us back on track to move forward. This quote by Mary Engelbreit is a perfect summation of where we are at: "If you don't like something, change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it." We cannot drastically change the issues we face that are outside of our control, but we can adapt our mindset about them and move forward. The economy continues to get stronger, innovation continues at a rapid pace and the commitment to US based products continues to improve, these all point towards a rebound for PCB manufacturing in 2022.
