How was business in 2022 and what do you expect for the industry in 2023?
We only just missed our ambitious turnover target despite the well-known adverse circumstances, 9% (instead of 10%) more than in 2021. No customers lost, but some gained. Will you be launching new products or services in 2023? Yes, indeed, we have quite a few developments up our sleeve, but we would like to keep up the suspense for a few more weeks. Are you able to hire enough qualified employees? What could the industry do to develop a larger pool of skilled workers? Due to the interesting industry and our global market position, there is no shortage of skilled workers (so far), but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find less educated but still motivated workers for whom we also offer employment. Has your company travel returned to pre-pandemic levels or are you still limiting travel to customer sites or industry conferences in 2023? We will certainly wait a few more months before taking up long overdue travel to China, especially the "mass migration" for Chinese New Year. Otherwise, the travel routes for us will be free again.
