We at Panasonic Factory Solutions have been working since years to give our customers the possibility to build fully autonomous factories and transform the existing production sites to an autonomous factory. Therefore, we adopted the variations of production environment according to Ishikawa into the 5Ms huMan, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement and designed the production transformation in a way to control variations in all these production elements whilst optimizing the OEE of our SMT and THT edge devices in the shopfloor.

The APC-5M concept (Advanced Process Control for 5M variations) as well as the new G-Series have partially stared to be launched in 2023. This latest series combines AI and automation to immediately respond to customer supply and demand changes through continuous, autonomous updates and offers flexibility and customizable options to address production needs, to make autonomous factories a reality.

Further, part of our autonomous factory concept is advanced data generation, material preparation and material management solutions. Besides the improvements of material management allocation algorithms and added interfaces for tracking prepared material across the shopfloor, we are continuously expanding supported material towers and have solutions for both smart buffers between warehouse and production lines as well as replenishment shelfs at the lines.
