Long-term opportunities lie in fulfilling our responsibility to make a cleaner, safer world Yamaha Robotics SMT Business prioritized developing our product line to meet the demands of the future, completing the transition to our new YR generation of printers, mounters, and AOI systems. With their exceptionally rigid chassis and exceptionally flexible features, including highly automated changeovers, they help today's EMS and OEM manufacturers achieve market-leading productivity. Our current technical priorities include extending AI skills throughout the YSUP software platform to connect inspection with printing and placement and keep our customers’ SMT lines at the forefront of the smart factory revolution. In 2024, Yamaha Robotics became the first company in Japan to build our equipment with green steel, made using processes designed to reduce CO2 emissions. Using green materials in manufacturing equipment is consistent with the pursuit of carbon neutral supply chains and our industry’s role in making the smart "things" that can make our world cleaner, safer, and sustainable. In addition, we completed our significant expansion and modernisation of the Yamaha Robotics office in Hamahatsu, approximately doubling the manufacturing capacity for surface-mounters. Completing this project prepares us to handle the long-term demands of the global SMT industry and also has established our first carbon neutral factory. It's entirely electrified, powered by CO2-free electricity, and part of a larger strategic plan to secure the business for the future.
