Expanding into MLCC Testing

A major milestone this year was finalizing our agreement with MKS/ESI, securing PTC's position as the exclusive global manufacturing and sales licensee for the Allegro™ MLCC test systems. This strategic expansion into MLCC electrical testing moves PTC further downstream in the component value chain and positions us to support customers across a wider range of their production processes.

Strengthening Portfolio
PTC began 2026 with a more comprehensive front-end offering for multilayer ceramic device fabrication. Improvements spanned the entire process flow—including tape casting, via drilling and filling, screen printing, stacking, lamination, and cutting—where upgraded features contributed to higher throughput, improved uniformity, and reduced manual intervention. Key product introductions included the 24-inch isostatic laminator and the high-area 18×18-inch injection via filler.

Looking Ahead
Artificial Intelligence (AI), more specifically data centers will be driving demand for products made with the multi layer ceramic fabrication technology. These include MLCCs, nearly 22,000 of which are used in AI servers and SOFC ceramic stacks which are used in Grid-Independent power generation systems. PTC systems are used in 12 products within the multilayer ceramic devices space. We will continue investing in automation, higher performance and throughput as well as predictive maintenance.
