2025 was a challenging year for the manufacturing industry. We saw changes in policies, rising costs, trade uncertainties, and continued workforce shortages affecting manufacturers across all industries. At the same time, the industry saw signs of growth such as continued investment in smart manufacturing technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and automation. These technologies help manufacturers overcome some of their most pressing issues by increasing speed, precision, and overall operational efficiency.
As we look ahead to 2026, technology alone won't determine who stays competitive. While the exact landscape may be difficult to predict, one thing is clear: manufacturers must pair operational innovation with an elevated focus on the customer experience. Ensuring that processes, products, and services consistently reflect customer needs will be critical to long-term success.
