VIEWPOINT 2020: Michael Frederickson, CEO, Insituware
Global industrial sectors, such as automotive, construction, transport, electronics, and aerospace are built on the advances in materials. In the electronics sector, these material advancements enable continuously improved product capability and performance while driving down size, weight, and power. Insituware is an integrated technology that enables better control of materials in the manufacturing of electronics by performing rapid assessments of materials during use or in situ meaning 'in place'. With a combination of advanced analytical sensors, smart devices, and intelligent cloud-based information with innovative packaging methods, Insituware enables nonintrusive sensing to the control of materials. This new measurement technology is accomplished with Insituware’s Vision product family that includes the Vision MARK-1 handheld measurement device, plug and play Insight modules that enable material specific measurements, and the Insitucloud that provides SPC, global trend data, and advanced data analytics. We are offering our solder paste Insight module with the Vision MARK-1 to address solder paste "fitness for use" at the IPC APEX show in February 2020. After that, we will be deploying new Insight modules every 3 months to further expand functionality; addressing additional materials, such as residues and coatings. Insituware will truly revolutionize the way we control materials in manufacturing! Michael Frederickson, CEO Insituware (subsidiary of Systems Innovation Engineering, LLC) http://www.insituware.com |
