AIM Metals & Alloys Now Able to Offer SN100C Lead-Free Bar Solder Globally
Cranston, Rhode Island, USA -- AIM, a global manufacturer of solder assembly materials, now offers the lead-free SN100C solder alloy in bar solder form worldwide with the exception of the UK and Ireland. AIM has been producing SN100C since 2005 and has helped hundreds of manufacturers implement lead-free soldering for their production lines. Currently, the SN100C alloy is being used in thousands of wave soldering machines around the world, with millions of circuit boards using SN100C solder. Prior to this, AIM could sell SN100C solder paste and cored wire globally but was limited to selling SN100C bar solder to the North American and Chinese markets. In addition to being environmentally friendly, SN100C offers low cost of use and proven reliability.
Along with a full solder line, AIM offers extensive technical support, lead-free seminars, process audits and solder pot analyses. AIM's SN100C products include bar, wire and solder paste along with compatible flux chemistries.
"AIM has been manufacturing the SN100C alloy for several years and we thank Nihon Superior for enabling us to sell SN100C almost worldwide. We have helped manufacturers throughout North America and Asia transition to SN100C from tin-lead and silver-bearing solder alloys," said David Suraski, Executive Vice President, Assembly Materials Division. "SN100C is a solder alloy with fantastic technological and commercial properties and we look forward to bringing our expertise with the alloy to electronics manufacturers throughout the world."
