September 27, 2012 High-Reliability Cleaning & Conformal Coating Conference Registration Open Minneapolis, MN - SMTA and IPC announce the program for the High-Reliability Cleaning and Conformal Coating Conference. The conference will be held November 13-15, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel-O'Hare in Chicago, Illinois. Registration is now available on-line. This event is focused on electronics assembly reliability and the influence of cleaning and coating on the production of reliable hardware. A half-day workshop will be followed by a two-day technical conference which will include tabletop exhibits, luncheons, and a networking reception. Doug Pauls from Rockwell Collins and Jason Keeping from Celestica will instruct a half-day workshop titled "Conformal Coatings: Types, Uses and Specifications" on Tuesday, November 13. This course covers the basics of conformal coating and coating processes including popular misconceptions and common causes. The second half of the workshop is dedicated to discussion about conformal coating in the manufacturing environment.
