Henkel Names North American Manufacturing Rep of the Year

Stand-Out Performance Earns Two US-based Reps Special Recognition

Henkel Electronic Materials today announced that it has selected E-tronix and Far West Micro, Inc. as its 2011 North American Manufacturing Representatives of the Year. This prestigious honor is given every year in recognition of outstanding sales, service and business development efforts among US-based Henkel manufacturing representatives. This is the first such award for Far West Micro and the second consecutive award for E-tronix.

Evaluated against a demanding set of metrics including year over year sales growth, development of new business opportunities, customer support success and a commitment to conduct business in accordance with Henkel's high standards, the Manufacturing Representative of the Year award is Henkel's top honor for its external rep sales team.

"Earning Henkel's Manufacturing Representative of the Year award is quite a distinction," explains Brian Betti, Director of Channel Management for Henkel Electronic Materials. “Aggressively pursuing and winning new business is no easy feat – particularly in today’s uncertain economic climate. But, E-tronix and Far West Micro have consistently shown that hard work and product expertise make all the difference."

Minneapolis, Minnesota-based E-tronix, which represents Henkel in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Western Wisconsin, is a two-time winner of the Henkel honor. Owner Erik Stromberg attributes his success to three factors: an excellent support team, perseverance and superior products. "No account is too big or too small for E-tronix," says Stromberg. "We pursue any and all opportunities with enthusiasm. Because Henkel's assembly materials product line is so comprehensive, we have multiple solutions to offer. Al this, combined with the outstanding support we receive from the Henkel team, has enabled E-tronix's accomplishments. We are delighted to have been named one of Henkel's Manufacturing Representatives of the Year."

Far West Micro Owner, Richard Gorton, who represents Henkel in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and British Columbia, has worked in the electronics industry for well over 40 years and says his background as a production engineer gives him a unique perspective – particularly when it comes to sourcing electronics materials. "If a customer is having a problem with an assembly but materials have been sourced from three or four different suppliers, it's often difficult to pinpoint the source of the problem," comments Gorton. "Because Henkel develops multiple assembly materials – everything from solder pastes to underfills to application-specific adhesives – product compatibility is robust and single source supply simplifies assembly issue troubleshooting. Plus, the product offering is so deep; Henkel has a material to address just about any manufacturing need or assembly challenge. I'm honored to work with such a great company and humbled by this award."

Both E-tronix and Far West Micro, Inc. were presented with Henkel's Manufacturing Representative of the Year awards at Henkel’s Irvine, California headquarters earlier this year.
