It is hard to believe that it is May the last year has flown by, and for all of us that has to be a good thing as we have weathered one of the worst global slowdowns in history. However, I am happy to say that it is now only weeks until National Electronics Week 2010 will open its doors in its new home the NEC in Birmingham.
After listening to exhibitor and visitor requests we have changed the format of NEW 2010 taking it to a more centrally located venue and compacting the open period to 2 days. NEW UK will run from Tuesday 18th May Wednesday 19th May, 10am 5pm daily in Hall 1 of the NEC.
Our move has proved very positive with the visiting community and we have opened pre-registration online @ http://www.new-expo.co.uk/ registration is free and gives visitors the opportunity to see a wide variant of exhibiting companies and to register for our free training and seminars.
The NEC has excellent rail and road links, its even served by its own airport, ideal for international visitors. Obviously, the main appeal of NEW lies in its unique ability to cater for electronics professionals from every market sector; this commitment wont change, wherever we are!
We want the visitor experience to be hassle free and enjoyable, that is why we have kept the central hub which offers our guests a place to sit, relax and enjoy a drink or snack whilst planning who or what to see next, and there is plenty to see and do.
Our event sponsor this year is Microsoft Embedded and they will be running free hands on labs throughout the show, The State of the ART Seminars are now all confirmed too and we have lots of topics covered in the two days, and the great thing about these seminars are they came from our audience we did a call for papers and you responded, and as we are committed to do we listened.
The Bloodhound SSC Team will be joining us again for 2010, but this year we have the Jet Engine and the Show Car giving you the opportunity to see in its entirety the UKs contender for the new land speed record. It is projects like the Bloodhound SSC which shows the best of UK manufacturing and engineering.
But the real reason for you coming along to NEW UK is to see the international array of exhibitors we have on board a list that is growing daily. Exhibitors signed up include Agilent, Briton EMS, Caltest, DEK, Ecopac, Etek, Fraser Technologies, Goepel, Holmes Circuit Design, LPKF, Mydata, Nutek, ODell Rework, Pace Europe, Testworks, Wurth, Vicor, XJTAG and Yestek to name but a few for a full list of companies please go to http://www.new-expo.co.uk/
