P.D. Circuits’ Mike Tucker to Present at SMTA Empire Chapter Event
HAMPSTEAD, N.H. - P.D. Circuits, Inc., specializing in delivering the highest quality PCBs, technical support, and service to OEM and EMS companies worldwide, announces that Mike Tucker, Technical Service Engineer, will participate in the upcoming SMTA Empire Chapter Event, scheduled to take place Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. The half-day Lunch and Learn Panel Discussion will focus on “Solder Process Failure Analysis.”
The program will function as an open forum and will feature a panel of experts on the assembly process who will address questions and issues submitted to the moderator as well as those from the attendees. Their experience includes final finishes and soldering with leaded as well as lead-free solders, nano solders, pastes, and process equipment. The topics will range from substrates to final finishes, to bridging, to tests in order to determine the root cause of some of the more advanced defect types. Active attendee participation will be encouraged.
Mike Tucker is a Technical Service Engineer at P. D. Circuits, Inc. He is responsible for training individuals to become certified IPC A-600 Specialists. Mike has worked in bare boards since October 1997 and is an expert in Frontend Engineering. Mike has more than 12 years of experience working closely with designers and manufacturing engineers to create robust, manufacturable products.
Tucker will be available to answer any questions “off-line” during the lunch or after the panel discussions, regarding design for manufacturability or controlled impedance. His A-600 training programs are conducted at P.D. Circuits as well as at customer facilities (there is no charge for this program and certification of participating individuals for PDC customers).
