Link Hamson is introducing the new Martin HOT-Beam-05 underheater

Ffor stress free rework and manual soldering

The robust Hot-Beam-05 has been developed for the most demanding applications to ensure successful manual soldering and reliable reworked components. Thermally complex soldering processes can be reliably performed using the Hot-Beam-05 underheater.

Gentle Rework Process

This underheater is the “big brother” of the well established Hot-Beam-04 and users benefit from the integrated and very powerful 2kW heater with 4 individually controlled IR zones making this underheater particularly suitable for very large PCB’s. The unit delivers 50% of the required heat from below to ensure gentle heat application to both the component and PCB; this also keeps the soldering tip temperature as low as possible.

The patented Rapid-IR technology heats PCB’s to the permitted temperature at the maximum allowable rate of increase. Precise temperature profiles can be programmed for the controlled and reliable maintenance of temperatures. This results in shorter processing times whilst still protecting components to ensure quality and reliability.

Clear and Easy to Use Menus

Hot-Beam-05 users benefit from a very simple and clear menu structure. Relevant process information is grouped together and guides the user smoothly through the process. The unit offers up to 11 process programs for controlled heating in automatic mode. The use of a thermocouple is only required when setting up the profile, thereafter it is not required so achieving more effective processing and increased productivity.

Microscopic Accuracy

The Martin Stereo Zoom Microscope is available as an optional accessory to assist in the processing of the smallest components. This microscope produces unusually sharp, 3 dimensional views and is an ideal complement for the precision rework of small components.
