MADISON, AL — STI Electronics, Inc., a full service organization providing training, electronics and industrial product distribution, consulting, laboratory analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces IPC-7711/7721B CIT and CIS training courses.

As a resource to the industry and recent developers of the IPC certification program, STI is offering the IPC-7711/7721 revision “B” CIT and CIS courses. These courses were beta tested in the United States and Europe. Some of the changes that were made to these courses include more information on lead-free, a decrease in the number of projects (in some areas), and the addition of a conductor repair project that allows students to repair a SMT land with a trace.

STI has worked hard on both the CIT and CIS courses to make them more “real World.” The course length for the CIT (Instructor) course is 40 hours. The CIS (operator) course contains 9 Skill Specific Modules and is therefore customizable to a customer’s particular needs. These courses can be conducted at STI’s facility in Madison, AL or at the customer’s facility.
