There are great opportunities for manufacturing innovations in 2009. As the industry matures, companies must become more flexible to deal with changing business conditions. This flexibility also must translate to the manufacturing floor where manufacturing efficiency must be increased despite changes in product sets and manufacturing volumes.
We’ve seen manufacturers increase their efficiencies through the use of multiple lanes allowing them to increase their throughput per square foot and reducing the infrastructure investments.
