The three-day Bohai Electronics Week 2008 (BEW08) closed its doors at the Tianjin International Exhibition Centre on another highly successful event for the industry. BEW 2008 provided a unique, quality trading platform for more than 100 leading enterprises in this region and successfully attracted 3,947 visiting professionals from areas in North China including Tianjin, Beijing, Shandong and Shenyang, with 1,380 VIP visitors and buyers.
BEW is the sister event of the prestigious NEPCON electronics manufacturing series of exhibitions and is increasingly expanding its impact on the industry. Today, BEW 2008 is widely appraised by exhibitors and visitors in the industry, paving a solid path for future growth plans.
Takashi Fujimoto, managing director of Nihon Superior, said, “We introduced new products at BEW and reached our promotional goals. The show is a great platform for both visitors and exhibitors. We also established more contacts through BEW. Nihon Superior will exhibit at BEW 2010.”
To meet the needs of visitors, BEW hosted even more placement machine manufacturers at the 2008 event. Visitors paid particular attention to Panasonic Corporate, who debuted at BEW 2008 with the exciting launch of a new soldering machine. Other industry leading manufacturers to announce and showcase their latest products and technologies included Folungwin, Unicomp, Techwin, Shimadzu, A&P, Autoveyor, Ellsworth, Evest, Mirae, Mirtec, Musashi, Nihon Superior, Toshiba, Tronic, plus many more. All of these companies showcased state-of-the-art products and technologies, providing an important opportunity to make new business contacts for the visitors of North China.
It is well known that the global economy is experiencing a downturn. In this adverse climate the show organizers, Reed Exhibitions’, were able to offer a high level of professional service as an authority in this marketplace. An impressive lineup of more than 700 high-quality visitor delegations from 25 major electronics manufacturing companies visited BEW 2008. These came from consumer electronics, mobile chips, flat panel display modules and applications, and companies such as Fujitsu, Motorola, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, to name a few.
Meng Fanchang, director of Production Department in Tianjin World Digital Technology, said, “During the show, we mainly focused on soldering devices, test and measurement equipment. We also collected lots of market information. We were very happy to see the leading edge equipment exhibited by Panasonic Corporate, which lays a foundation for our new machine purchase next year. The pre-show invitation from the organizer showed professionalism and enthusiasm. It was very easy for us to enter the hall with the confirmation letter. The service we received onsite was very professional. I will visit BEW again.”
Held in conjunction with BEW 08, the SMTA China North Conference 2008 was again extremely well attended and proved a very successful attraction. Addressing the most important and topical issues in the industry, the conference covered subjects such as lead-free alloys, excellent antioxidants, and printing and cleanliness requirements prior to the dispensing process. The seminars provided visitors with a valuable opportunity to listen to and understand the latest technology developments from best-in-class technical experts and specialists.
