October’s Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition, held at the National Motorcycle Museum, was considered the best yet. With more exhibitors present than ever, the visitors certainly responded – attracted presumably by a free lunch and the chance to discuss their problems with some of the best problem solvers in the industry.
The new layout with adjoining halls and walk-through to the VIP lunch area proved ideal, although organiser Mark Newby commented: “we may have to increase the aisle widths next year for the April Exhibition at RAF Cosford, as some stands were so busy most of the day that pedestrian traffic in at least one hall often came to a standstill!”
The Motor Cycle Museum was, as ever, a brilliant venue with easy access, free parking and redolent with the best of British engineering setting the context for the show. Notable at the show was the launch of Fastening & Assembly Solutions Poland (http://www.fastening-solutions.pl/) – sister site to its successful UK publication. This promises from January 2009 to provide a valuable link between UK and Polish manufacturing industries now that European integration is a functioning reality.
The next Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition will be at RAF Cosford on April 29th 2009 – where we understand there will be both bigger stands and wider aisles to ensure that visitors can easily see what they are looking for with space to explore their particular problem.
