REACH will impact everyone who exports or imports to the EU. If you do not take action, you may not be able to do business in the EU.

Under REACH, each substance along with every identified use, will need to be registered with the newly formed European Chemical Agency. If a use is not registered, then it cannot be employed in that application within the EU unless the company takes responsibility for conducting a risk assessment.It is without a doubt the most comprehensive chemical legislation in the world.

The first step to ensuring you will be allowed to do business in the EU is to pre-register your chemicals and uses. The deadline to pre-register is December 2008. Where should you begin?
