Offers submicron feature recognition and faster CT reconstruction
Fremont, California – Dage Precision Industries, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN) and the industry leader in x-ray inspection technology, announces that it will exhibit its XD7600NT digital x-ray inspection system in Booth No. 501 at the SMTA International show scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida on August 19-21, 2008.
Dage will showcase its XD7600NT with a 2M pixel imaging system, feature recognition to 250 nanometers and oblique angle views up to 70-degrees in any position around any point of a 16”x 18” (407x458mm) inspection area. The XD7600NT system can be equipped with a computerized tomography (CT) option providing 3D modeling and volumetric measurement of solder joints. CT is ideally suited for analytical analysis of solder interconnections for critical applications such as stacked die, MEMS, package-in-package and package-on-package.
In addition, Dage will highlight an extensive range of new products including Quick View CT software that allows users to obtain initial computerized tomography reconstructions within 5 minutes compared to previous times of over 20 minutes. This quick view CT software makes the use of CT a much more viable process tool for production and failure analysis applications.
Also introduced will be the new XD7600NTHP digital x-ray inspection system with a high-power tube offering 10 watts of power and sub-micron feature recognition. Unlike existing high power tubes that have to significantly compromise resolution when used at higher power levels, this new Dage high-power tube retains sub-micron feature recognition at full power. This is especially important when looking through dense materials such as multilayer printed circuit boards containing heat sinks.
An additional option consisting of dual monitors will also be shown that allows operators to view more detail on the navigation map while at the same time allowing a full screen display for the all important x-ray image.
