Will Offer Tips for Improving Flat Panel Display and LED Manufacturing Processes
Photonics Festival, Taipei, Taiwan
Booths C1111/C1113
Carlsbad, CA – Asymtek, a Nordson company (Nasdaq:NDSN) and leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, announces that it will exhibit at the Photonics Festival in booths C1111 and C1113 on 11-13 June, 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan. Asymtek’s scalable Spectrum™ S-920 Series dispensing system for high-volume microelectronics manufacturing and the FPD G-4000 system for flat panel display manufacturing will be featured in the booths. Both dispensing systems will be configured with the award-winning DispenseJet® DJ-9000 to demonstrate patented technologies for enhancing speed, accuracy, and yield, which are critical for LED and FPD manufacturing.
The S-920N’s scalable design allows customers to buy only the capability needed now and upgrade later as requirements change, providing a lower cost of ownership and maximum return on investment. Technologically advanced closed-loop software and hardware controls increase efficiency and throughput. The S-920N, with patented jetting technology, maximizes dispense speed and accuracy by jetting precise shot volumes as small as one nanoliter. Calibrated process jetting (CpJä) maintains volumetric repeatability and simplifies set-up by automatically adjusting system parameters to ensure the programmed amount of fluid is dispensed, regardless of viscosity changes. The S-920N will feature jetting phosphor silicon encapsulation on an LED leadframe at the show.
The FPD G-4000 is designed to meet high-volume production requirements for Gen 4 flat panel display manufacturing. It is the system of choice for OLED OEM manufacturers and integrators that install work cells or entire flat panel production lines. The G-4000’s gantry design provides a lightweight platform with a small footprint. Coupled with Asymtek’s patented jetting technology, it provides twice the output of other moving table systems on the market. Closed- loop process controls ensure less set-up time and less material waste. The FPD G-4000 will be used to demonstrate the twin nozzle DJ-9000 jetting sealant and fill for an OLED manufacturing process.
