Being held over June 17th – 19th at London’s Earls Court 2 venue, there is not long to go until the launch of National Electronics Week. Aiming to deliver a completely unique proposition for today’s electronics professionals, NEW is a total industry event – evidenced by the diversity of the 300+ exhibiting companies represented on the event floorplan. Spanning design and components through to production and distribution, NEW’s scope of coverage is unprecedented. Recent additions include design technology specialist Altium, which will join the likes of ANSMANN Energy, DEK, Europlacer, Goepel, Heraeus, Interpower Components, Kaisertech, MYDATA, National Instruments, OK International, Panasonic Factory Solutions and Universal Instruments.
“I would encourage everyone to log-on to our website and pre-register for the event – it really will signal the dawn of a NEW age in terms of what you can expect from the UK’s exhibition landscape,” explains Event Director Claire Jeffreys. “With so much to see and do – from seminars and live production lines, to networking drinks receptions – there are hundreds of reasons to visit NEW. Plus, it’s extremely easy to get to by road, rail and air. But if that’s not incentive enough, we’re also entering pre-registered visitors into our free prize draws which will be running daily at the show!”
Set-up to accommodate the broad reach of the show, NEW will be offering the most comprehensive seminar line-up available today. Co-ordinated by Advanced Rework Technology (ART), the State-of-the-ART seminar programme will be delivered by some of the industry’s leading names including ART’s Barry Morris, A&D Automation’s Mary Gregory, Briton Electronics’ Peter Towler, BSI’s Neil Stanton, Institute of Printed Circuits’ Steve Payne, Premier EDA’s Alan Johnson and Weeco & Northern Compliance’s Vincent Eckerman. Other featured seminar programmes will see internationally recognised industry associations including Electronics-KTN and UKEA discuss topical issues including RoHS, WEEE and supply chain management. The IPC is also holding paid-for seminars and workshops at the event on subjects such as lead-free reliability and advanced packaging technology.
NEW is taking its commitment to learning and discovery even further with Production Live! Comprised of two live production lines demonstrating leading-edge technologies in action, this exhibit will provide attendees with an opportunity to be part of the line, with live discussion forums taking place to analyse findings. In addition to the wealth of educational opportunities taking place on the stand, the show will also be running a wide range of visitor incentives including free wireless access in the central visitor hub, exclusive drinks receptions with a free bar and even, a job section for companies to advertise vacancies.
