Electronics One Generation at a Time
 |

Sometimes we forget that that the Electronics Manufacturing Industry has been around for a while, long enough to begin to see generational threads that tie the years and innovations together. I was reminded of that over Memorial Day weekend while sorting through my files from the last few months and came across this beautiful photo taken at APEX of two families who epitomize this unity.
In the photo we see Nihon Superior President, Tetsuro Nishimura, with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Toshiro Nishimura, the senior Nishimura being the founder of Nihon Superior. They stand beside Megan Wendling and her father Charlie Lynch, Charlie being one of the pioneers of the electronics print trade media and Megan, who currently captains one ofthe electronics manufacturingindustry's largest marketing companies.

Those of us with children try to raise them well — we set examples, we guide them, help them make choices, then we send them out into the world hoping that we have done all the right things to get them on their way.
This photo reminded me that there is no greater honor than to have a child follow in your own footsteps.
