OK International has confirmed plans to showcase a range of new product innovations at NEW being held in London’s Earls Court 2 venue from 17th – 19th June 2008, Booth G40 will see the production assembly equipment specialist introduce visitors to its pioneering PS-900 soldering technology, MFR-2200 Series soldering and rework system and PCT-1000 programmable pre-heater.

As one of the major highlights on the OK International booth, the PS-900 soldering system is engineered to deliver high power with superior thermal control – at a breakthrough low cost of ownership. NEW will provide a useful environment for visitors to find out more about the innovative technology and its exceptional capability to solder high thermal demand applications with less investment, including lead-free solders, multi-layer boards and large mass components. Powered by OK’s SmartHeat® Technology, the PS-900 can provide an exceptionally fast response when under load while eliminating the potential for thermal overshoot, enabling high-quality, cost-effective solder joints formed at safe and controlled temperatures.

Appearing alongside the PS-900, a demonstration of OK International’s MFR-2200 Series soldering and rework system will show visitors how they could benefit from extensive production flexibility. A high power solution for production hand soldering, touch-up and SMD rework, the MFR-2200 Series also incorporates the precision control enabled by SmartHeat to respond uniquely to different thermal load demands. Also enabling users to operate one or two different handpieces at the same time for optimal flexibility, the new MFR-2200 Series looks set to be a popular addition to the OK International booth.

Completing the line-up of brand new technologies, the OK International team will also be presenting the PCT-1000 programmable pre-heater, engineered to simultaneously lower soldering and rework temperatures and improve process efficiency. Equipped with the PCT-1000, users can deliver more heat to difficult boards while maintaining very high levels of thermal control. As NEW visitors will discover, this unique capacity makes the new system ideal for high thermal demand applications such as lead-free, multi-layer boards and large ground planes.

In addition to these new technologies, OK International will also be using the NEW platform to display its comprehensive range of production assembly equipment, including proven and established soldering and rework systems, advanced package rework, benchtop fume extraction and fluid dispensing systems.
