in Dispensing and Conformal Coating
APEX 2008 Booth #511
Carlsbad, CA – Asymtek, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN) and leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, will feature in-booth presentations about conformal coating and scalable dispensing solutions at APEX 2008, held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV from April 1-3, 2008 in booth #511. The presentations will offer tips for improving manufacturing processes and total cost of ownership.
The dispensing presentation features Asymtek’s new Spectrum™ S-920 Series of scalable dispensing platforms that adapt to the needs and requirements of high-volume microelectronics manufacturing and printed circuit board assembly such as corner bonding, flip chip, and CSP underfill. The system can be configured with single or dual lanes, and one, two, or three heat stations depending on capacity, process control, and footprint requirements. Its slim system footprint of 600 x 1321mm (23.6 x 52.0 in.) maximizes floor space utilization and lowers cost of ownership. Innovative to the S-920N are a Rapid Response Heaterä system and Controlled Process Heat (CpHä) function as well as multiple systems supporting closed-loop dispensing process control.
The conformal coating presentation features Asymtek’s SL-940E Conformal Coating System with integrated closed-loop process controls that deliver the highest quality and productivity for automated coating processes at a low cost-of-ownership. Up to 30% faster throughput comes from the 750mm/second coating speed and 1g peak acceleration. A high-accuracy robot and proprietary jetting and coating technologies produce excellent edge definition. Traceability and datalogs for critical parameters, including fluid and air pressures, fan-width control, fluid temperatures, and flow rates, are set and monitored through software-controlled regulators. Vision and pattern recognition systems make programming easy. The system accommodates multiple board arrays and large substrates to 500mm.
The conformal coating presentations will be given at 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM on April 1 and 2 and at 11:00 AM only on April 3. The dispensing presentations will take place at 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM on April 1 and 2 and at 11:30 AM only on April 3. The presentations will last about five minutes each, with technical experts available to answer any questions following each presentation.
