Designed for site dressing and solder removal, the PMT400S system was developed to meet the demands for reliable repeatable solder removal. The high performance and low cost PMT400S provides advanced features designed to address difficult site preparation challenges. Dynamic height sensing combined with Proprietary Windows® based Sierra Mate software provides a simple graphical user interface, featuring intuitive programming. Additionally, PMT400S is “production ready” with many standard features, providing a superior value.

The system is lead-free capable, and offers excellent thermal performance, as well as a low cost of ownership. Additionally, it features precision semi automatic gantry motion, automated nitrogen gas switching and optional IR bottom heater. PMT400S provides significant performance in a small 28 inch (711 mm) sq footprint.

Standard features of PMT400S include a newly refined, self contained solder removal tool providing superior performance and reduced maintenance time. Additionally, it can prepare up to 51mm BGA site on assemblies with 2 inch tall (50mm) top and 1.5inch (37.5 mm) bottom side components. Even with its small footprint, the system easily handles boards as large as 14 by 20 inch (356 by 578 mm).
