The team at the sharp end of the National Electronics Week (NEW) event has expanded with the addition of Andy Pratt to its experienced ranks. He brings a wealth of component industry insight and knowledge to the show.

Andy Pratt is best known for his tenure as publication Manager with Electronics magazine and previously for a 10-year stint with established industry favourite EPD. Andy has chosen to join the NEW team from the 11^th Feb – having been captivated by what he calls “an intelligent, contemporary and inclusive initiative whose time is right for the entire UK electronics industry”.

He will assume responsibility for promoting and supporting specific areas of the event, including the Components and Test sectors, where he is exceptionally well known. Part of the attraction for him is the recognition that the UK industry needs to support an event precisely tuned to its specialised needs – as is enjoyed by exhibitions in other parts of Europe, as well as Asia and the US.

I believe it is already captivating the electronics community which is increasingly embracing NEW with the enthusiasm it greets other events across Europe.
