VIEWPOINT 2022: Paul Wells, CEO, sureCore

VIEWPOINT 2022: Paul Wells, CEO, sureCore
Paul Wells, CEO sureCore
2021 has been a great year for sureCore -- we've seen a heightened interest in our low power embedded memory technology across a wide spectrum of applications including medical, consumer, high performance computing and augmented reality.

Our central message of the criticality of addressing the power consumed by on-chip memory is really hitting home as more and more developers are locked in a battle to deliver ever more intelligent features, which require increasing amounts of on-chip memory, within a constrained power budget.

To be a market leader with real product differentiation it is no longer enough to just adopt "off-the-shelf" solutions from the big IP vendors. Whilst the "vanilla" IP may accelerate time to market, utilising sureCore's low power products such as PowerMiser, EverOn or MiniMiser memory families results in dramatic power savings giving products clear market benefits. Our sureFIT service where we architect and develop a custom solution tailored to application need can deliver even greater gains.

I'm expecting 2022 will be our best year ever as the pressures driving customers to adopt our technology will only intensify in line with the market growth in IoT, wearables and AI etc. We're actively growing the team to cope with the increased demand.

In addition, our leadership of a UK Government funded project to develop cryogenic IP for the quantum computing space will drive the team to new heights of innovation and will mean a whole new market opening up for us. I can't wait!
