2020 was the year of unknown trends that made even the largest and most profitable companies nervous day after day. I joined Austin American Technology (AAT) as their Director of Business Development to oversee the sales and marketing efforts midway through the year. The timing of my hire came as a surprise to many within the Electronic Manufacturing Industry as they wondered why such a high-profile addition would be made during a time with so much unknown.

The answer to this very question is testament to value Austin American Technology puts on supporting their clients. For over 35 years, the AAT Board has put a strong focus on investing in new trends & technology that allow us to remain a top leader of Industrial PCB Cleaning.

I quickly learned that we work in an industry consisting of strong relationships that relied heavily on face-to-face communication. The use of these methods came to a screeching halt for us all in March 2020 and we knew it was time to go fully virtual. From conducting Live Video Demonstrations of our industry leading cleaners to assisting our clients with virtual installations and maintenance request using hi-def digital cameras, professional lighting, microphones, and videography equipment, we have found ourselves effectively interacting with current and potential clients more than ever before.

As the pandemic continued, I noticed the needs and request from our clients were also changing. This quickly became relevant as the demand for both our X Series Stencil Cleaner and Mega Series Solvent Cleaners increased dramatically. With Covid-19 decreasing the numbers of people on the floor, the X Series Stencil Cleaner efficiently compensated with its automation and ability to work multiple lines. The Mega Series Solvent Cleaner's ability to clean tools between shifts made it a great solution to combating the many sanitation challenges Covid-19 creates when having multiple people working in the same environment.

I am a firm believer that 2020 will go down in history as the year that changed the way we all do business for years to come. Fortunately, technology is advancing at an all-time rate that shrinks the world and allows us to interact simultaneously at any distance. For this reason, I am confident that 2021 will be a year of growth for us all as we continue to find clever new ways to share our amazing products with one another.

Austin American Technology is thankful for every company that has and continues to trust us with their business. We want to be your resource for all things cleaning.
